Everest Base Camp (5,380m) is of course a popular trek which I’ve led four or five times and is generally a three-week itinerary.
This particular group involved members of the Milton Mountaineers, a visually impaired outdoor group. Their Chairman, David Carrington-Porter, had dreamed of reaching Everest Base Camp on his 60th birthday and we achieved this with three others from the Milton Mountaineers and other friends of mine. The objective was achieved and was a professionally rewarding experience for me.
The local operator for this trip was Tulsi Gyawali of Nepal Sanctuary Treks whom I can recommend.
