This trip is being managed and led by Alan Ward (International Mountain Leader) who has extensive experience of working in Indonesia.
The trip is in partnership with one of Indonesia’s most reputable adventure companies who have been audited under BS8848:2014 in 2018 and who have recently completed various training courses with Alan. The company has over 20 years combined experience of running adventures across Indonesia.
At 3,805m above sea level, Mt Kerinci is the highest volcano in Indonesia and is located in the Kerinci Regency of Jambi in West Sumatra, about 130km south of Padang. It is part of the Barisan Mountains where pine-forested slopes look out over the surrounding terrain. Padang is easily reached by air from Singapore or Jakarta with a flight time of approximately 1.5hrs.
