UIAA certificated MOUNTAIN SKILLS training course in Indonesia. This was a pilot course attended by 4 members of the Indonesian Mountain Guides Association, employed by Climb Indonesia.

The three day course commenced in Jakarta with a theory session and was followed by two days of practical training at the Malabar Tea Plantation in the Pangalengan Highlands of Central Java at an altitude of about 1,450m.

This training was part of the Corporate Social Responsibility policy of Bigfoot Services Limited to offer training to local mountain guides around the world. I happened to be in the area but was not required to work at weekends so allocated this time to training members of the Indonesian Mountain Guides Association.
