Mountain Skills Award – I’m running this Mountain Training course in Snowdonia from April 16th – 20th in self-catering accommodation. The course is normally 2 days but I’m running it over 3.5 days at no additional cost. This is an ideal way to gain awareness of classic routes in Snowdonia at the same time as learning appropriate mountain skills. December 16th, 2017 – 4 candidates completed this course which is required for NNAS Training Providers but which is also useful for anyone who would like to improve their navigation teaching skills. In 2017, we delivered three of these courses in the Brecon Beacons National Park – very positive feedback was received from the candidates. In 2018 courses are scheduled for: April 14th May 19th September 29th The course fee is £80 and the venue is Parkwood Outdoors Dolygaer where cost effective self-catering accommodation is usually available.Read More →

March 1st: Hill & Moorland Leader Award in the Brecon Beacons: – 1 place remaining (the maximum group size is 6 candidates).   March 22nd: Hill & Moorland Leader Award in the Brecon Beacons –  4 places remaining (the maximum group size is 6 candidates).   April 16th – 20th: Mountain Skills in Snowdonia – 7 places remaining on this extended course to those keen to learn appropriate mountain skills and gain familiarisation in Snowdonia.
