AVIVA COMMUNITY FUND FOR CPR TRAINING BY BIGFOOT SERVICES LIMITED

About the competition – The Aviva Community Fund

The Aviva Community Fund has accepted a proposal from us which will allow us to significantly increase our delivery of the Heartstart ELS First Aid course using more advanced equipment than is normally available. This will apply across the Brecon Beacons National Park and South Wales generally and the course will be free and certificated to community groups.

Our project link can be shared share far and wide to secure votes if you believe this to be a worthwhile community project for those in the areas referred to:
https://community-fund.aviva.co.uk/voting/project/view/17-770

We need enough votes from friends, family and supporters in these areas for the project to be entered into the Finals, where a judging panel will hopefully award the funds based on our application with a proven track record of evidence including:

  1. Receiving the 2014 Heart Hero Wales from the British Heart Foundation for delivering community based CPR training skills.
  2. Receiving very positive Testimonials on https://www.bigfootservices.co.uk which always makes us very proud.

HEARTSTART SOUTH WALES – ELS/CPR TRAINING SCHEME

The scheme will deliver high quality CPR training schemes to community groups within South Wales during 2018 and beyond.

This scheme encompasses all three of the Aviva Project Categories and will include adults and children.

Heartstart is the initiative to teach Emergency Life Saving (ELS) skills to the British public. By attending a course, vital skills for saving lives will create a nation of life savers.

Whilst my Heartstart training is mostly achieved by volunteer work, my website shows Testimonials and these can be seen in https://www.bigfootservices.co.uk as the website details given simply verify our voluntary activities.

Individuals or groups can attend a three-hour training course and learn how to:

Recognise a heart attack and a cardiac arrest
Help an unconscious person
Perform CPR
Help someone choking
Respond to serious bleeding

I’m applying for funds which will go entirely towards the purchase of Laerdal CPR training equipment – this will be paid direct to Laerdal who make the best available CPR training equipment, if we are successful.
