February 18th – 24th, 2018
This opportunity exists for a small group to stay at the unique Kasbah du Toubkal and then climb to the summit of North Africa’s highest mountain.
Bookings are now being accepted for this trip which will be limited to 12 participants and by jointly led by an International Mountain Leader and a Berber Mountain Guide.
Kasbah du Toubkal is the number one property of choice for comfortable hotel accommodation in the village of Imlil and the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco. The Kasbah (1,820 metres) is Just 60 kilometres from Marrakech and set on a hilltop 100 metres above Imlil from where it is a 15-minute walk – mules carry the luggage. The Kasbah is also in the Toubkal National Park and set dramatically below the towering flanks of Jbel Toubkal, the highest mountain in North Africa standing at 4,167 metres. Imlil, and its surrounding valleys, is a world apart from the bustle of the city and a place of peace and seclusion. The award-winning unique hotel offers fourteen comfortable en-suite rooms, three of which can be used as a private self-contained house. In addition, there are three family rooms. The delightful garden and large terraces offer unparalleled views of the surrounding mountains. Our friendly and knowledgeable local Berber team will make every effort to ensure your stay is as enjoyable as it can be.
The 5-day trek returns to the Kasbah du Toubkal for a celebration dinner after summiting Mt Toubkal.
The trip is offered on a land only basis but opportunities exist for extending stays to more fully explore Marrakech or elsewhere in Morocco.
Recommended flights are with British Airways.
