Safety-on-the-Hill Training Course
A one or two day course covering an introduction to hill walking, equipment, weather, route finding and practical navigational skills.
Walking Group Leader Award
This award is for leaders of walking groups in summer conditions in non-mountainous hilly terrain, known variously as upland, moor, bog, hill, fell or dale. Such areas are often subject to harsh weather conditions and require an element of self sufficiency. This scheme will help candidates develop the necessary skills and experience.
